Never having had a spaetzle press before, I was rather surprised by the sheer size of this thing. I initially thought it would be awkward and unwieldy, considering the heft. How wrong I was. This is a fantastic, easy method to make spaetzle. Now the hardest part is stirring the dough. I prefer thicker batter/dough; this press handles it like a breeze. It holds quite a bit of batter in one go, and with just a few tries the technique of getting separate noodles instead of one big goopy mass is simple to master. The coating/enamel is very easy to clean, even in the tiny holes. Disassembly is just a simple trick of opening to a certain angle, with no force needed to remove and re-insert.Do yourself a huge favor and watch several videos before using this yourself. It shortens the learning curve.(Disclaimer: I burnt myself seriously, by splashing boiling water on myself while trying to use a "grater-style" spaetzle press, so I was predisposed to like anything that makes it easier and safer to make spaetzle.)
