I stumbled across these slingshot bands just a few days ago. I am 63 and my heavy benching days have long since passed. Now I work out and rep in neighborhood of 230-235 lbs. Within the last few weeks, while I was working my way back from a double hernia surgery, I started to get some pretty severe soreness in my right shoulder. It was bad enough that during my last workout I had to stay way down on the weight I used and even then it hurt pretty badly. Enter the slingshot today. I was able to immediately return to my regular, pre shoulder pain workout weights with little to no shoulder discomfort. My dumbbell reps with the weight I have been using all along went from 12 to 15 easily, again with no shoulder pain. I am not touting this slingshot so much from the standpoint of how much more weight it can help you over-train with - I would estimate this particular product would add 10+% - but rather what a great job it does helping to put the shoulders in the right position and alleviating the pain that is often experienced in that area of the body.Time will tell how well it will hold up although it seems to be very strong, well sewn with good materials used, but I am certainly sold on it.
