My favorite reference. This is not a beginners text. It goes into more detail in every area of grammar. When I began my study of Italian, I collected several standard text books. This one, however is a gold mine of information. It details regional differences and subtle variations in usage. I just moved into an intermediate level text in my class. This book explains the more complex areas of grammar much better than my class book. It also covers basics. I have two copies so to have it always at hand. I have purchased two other books in the series.....excellent!!!
